I just didn’t like how Sigma turned out because of my shaping (it was all messed up). I’ve been thinking of ripping it back to the beginning of the shaping and starting over from there. I still have 1 1/2 balls of yarn left over plus what I’d rip out so I should have enough yarn to redo. But since I’ve blocked it, I’m not sure how that will affect it. It’s 100% cotton, but I it didn’t shrink when I wet it. Would it be safe to rip back and do over?

Here is Sigma, all done. Woohoo! It’s blocking but I couldn’t wait to take a picture and post it. My edges are kind of sloppy but overall, I think it came out pretty well. It will be a great little tank for hanging out this summer.
Now I must focus my attention on Chamomile, a few dishcloths I want to make mom for her birthday and the scarf I’m making my sister. Then I can start my other sleeveless with Denim Silk and my Dolman sweater with Silkroad Tweed.

I’m almost done with Sigma. I’ve got a few ends to weave in then I have to do the crochet edge and block it. It feels good to be this close to finished. I can’t wait to be done. I’ll post pics after it’s completed. I also worked on Chamomile some this weekend. I am just about to the top shaping of the first sleeve. I would have done more, but I wanted to get Sigma done. And I cast on for a dishcloth that I’m going to make for my mom. She got me the booklet with 16 patterns so I decided to make the first one for her. I’m using Sugar and Cream cotton in a coral mix of colors. Real pretty.

Becky has decided to knit Chamomile with me, so we have our own little knit-along. If anyone would like to join, I’ll be happy to start up a knit-along with buttons and all. I’m hoping we can start next week, but if I get more people that are interested we may start a little later to allow folks to get the pattern and yarn. I’m looking forward to knitting this with her.
Also, I cheated and started my Booga Bag. I’ve finished the bottom and have started on the “wall” of the bag. I am really liking the color I chose and the stripes it is making. I can’t wait to get it done and felt it. I hope to work on it some tonight. I think I can get it done in a few days. Then I’ll post pics of my progress.
And yes, I FINALLY started on the shaping of Sigma. Hurray! I’ve only done about 8 rows into the back, but at least I’ve made it. It doesn’t seem so daunting now. I will definitely be working on it hard-core this weekend. I was getting really frustrated last night trying to purl. I felt so clumsy and couldn’t figure out a way to hold the yarn. Then I tried putting it around my neck and it seemed to go much better and quicker. So I will be purling around the neck from now on. I just don’t know what I’ll do when I have to do ribbing on Chamomile. I couldn’t get a grip on the yarn with either hand. Any suggestions on what I could try? I sort of feel silly holding the yarn around my neck, but last night it was the only way.

Yes, I’m considering making a Booga Bag. I’ve checked all the online stores I know, plus my LYS and none of them have Kureyon in any of the colors I want. So I may have to wait a few weeks. The owner of the LYS said she should be getting a new shipment in about 2 weeks. Her price is the same as the shops online, so I may have to just get some from what’s in stock at Jimmy Bean’s Wool or Royal Yarns. But I’m tired of carrying around my knitting projects in plastic bags. I usually just carry one small project, and none of the bags I currently have are small enough…they are all too big. So I thought I’d try a Booga Bag.
I have attempted another join on my tank top, using Alison’s advice and The Knit Stitch. We’ll see what happens. I can’t tell yet until I go all the way around one or two times. So far it looks like it might work though. Yeah! I can continue my tank and hopefully get some major progress done on it this weekend.
