I have no comments on this blog. Primarily because when I converted my posts from Textpattern, I couldn’t figure out how to convert the comments, so I lost them all. Since, I’ve not had anyone post comments. So I made a test post to make sure it’s working. Yep. :(
My first comment received was spam! How sad is that. I guess my blog is pretty lame that no one comments. LOL! Oh well.
So, it took 3 swatches to figure out my gauge for Smitten. Yes, you read that right, 3 swatches. I started with the recommended needle and was way off. Then I went up 2 needle sizes and was still off, but I’m using worsted weight yarn and the pattern is for heavy worsted. So I got in my head to try double stranding. It worked. I still had to go up one needle size but it looks great. I like the thickness of the double stranded fabric and gauge is just right. I had to order some more yarn, but it’s from KnitPicks so it was fairly inexpensive.
I finally started Smitten last night. I got both pocket linings done. Now I start on the actual sweater.
