Loopy Edge and Other News
27 June 2007 – 2:14 pmI’m working on the loop edge of my pinwheel sweater and I’m not sure if I’ll have enough yarn. I might just make it, but it’s going to be close. And holy cow, it seems to be taking me forever. It’s like it won’t ever end. I will be glad when it’s finished and I can move on to the sleeves. I do have to say, I like the loop edge though. Gives it just enough frill for a little girl sweater. If I make one for myself, I’m not sure I’d keep the loop edge.
The autumn afghan is falling apart. Agh! Apparently the seaming I did was crap and it’s coming apart in places. So I have to revisit my seaming of this blasted thing. But the good news is that my sister loved it so much, she put in a request for her own. I’m not too keen on making another, so I sent her some links of other afghans that would give the same thickness and weight (which is what she loved about it, since she is always cold). Hopefully she will pick an afghan that is much easier on me than this thing was to put together. Both her and dad are looking forward to their socks. I hope to cast on sis’s socks this weekend and since they are going to be ankle length and toe-less, they should go pretty quick. At least I measured both their feet so I have a rough estimate of how long to make the foot portion of socks.
