I’m off to knit for a few hours today because starting this afternoon, I won’t be able to knit or read until Monday or Tuesday. I’m having LASIK surgery. I won’t be able to get on the computer either, so no more knitting news till next week.

Yep. I’ve started another neckwarmer. The recipient of the first one was so pleased with his, that my husband got jealous and wanted one of his own. So, I’m making his now. If I can work on it tonight for a bit, I should be done with it tonight or tomorrow night. It didn’t take me long to do the first one, so the second should be quicker since I’m familiar with the pattern now.

I worked on Chamomile last night. I’m on the front panel and made it past the ribbed edge and past the first decreases. I worked the straight rows and am about to start the section of increases. For the sleeves, I the first stitch on every row, since it will be seamed up. I’ve not quite done that with the front panel. I’ve been slipping the first stitch on the knit rows. The purl rows have been worked straight through. For some reason, when I slip the stitch on the purl row, it looks odd, which I know shouldn’t worry me too much since it is a selvedge, but I don’t like it. So I’ve just been doing the knit rows. They still both come out pretty smooth, so hopefully I won’t have too much problems seaming. But I really had fun last night working on it. I’ve not worked on it in a few weeks, since I officially picked it back up to work on. And I really enjoyed it. Of course, my husband saw me working on it and fussed that I should be working on getting the lapghan finished. It’s still on floor, but I think it’s dry now. We are going camping this weekend, but since Monday is a holiday, I’ll hopefully have some time and I’m going to try to work on getting the lapghan completed then.

I’ve joined two knitalongs. The 1st Time Sweater Knitalong, since Chamomile is my first sweater. And the Sock IT To Me Knitalong, since I’m still working on my first pair of socks. I’ve added the buttons and links to the sidebar. I’m itching to try the FBS Redux Knitalong, but I think I have enough on my plate. I’m so ready to start my Dolman Sweater, but I want to finish up my afghans and Chamomile. I guess I need to get on the ball and get those done. Of course I also need to get back to working on my socks. LOL! So much knitting to do and so little time…ugh!

Strips are blocking and I noticed that one block of color, of course right smack in the middle of the strip is too small and I can’t block it out. It would make it stretch too much. So once the strip dries, I’ll have to rip it at that one section and add a few rows to it. How do you add it back? Would I graft it back together using a kitchener stitch? I think it’s going to be a challenge ripping it so that the stitches above don’t fall apart. I may need to do a little research to see if I can find some pictured help in one of my books or online somewhere. Wish me luck.
