Making Squares…
11 February 2004 – 10:01 amI’m working steady on my afghan squares. So far I’ve kept to my plan of getting at least half of my squares done before starting a new knitting project. I made this plan, because I know that if I start a knitting project the afghan will be pushed aside. And I’m really enjoying making the afghan. It doesn’t take much time to complete a square. I did one yesterday while on lunch break and I made one last night while watching television. So far I’ve got 5 squares done out of 35, so I’m at about 13%. It doesn’t sound like much, but at least I’m making progress.
I bought the yarn for the 2Hour Hat. I got Lion Brand’s Wool-Ease Thick and Quick. It has enough to make 2 hats. I also got yarn for another hat, the Mostly Knit-Round Hat in The Knit Stitch. Looking at the final measurements for it, I think it will fit better than the first hat I made. Once I make those hats and my legwarmers, :) I want to try my hand at a sweater. I’m thinking I might try the 3x Chic Sweater from knitty.com. Or I found a great cardigan that I really want.
