Break Already?

I haven’t had time to knit this week. I did so much over the weekend and it was great, but then the week arrived and I’ve been busy. I did check out our local Hancock Fabrics. The just recently got in almost the entire line of Lion Brand Yarn and needles. Which is pretty good. It’s one more store to check out when I need yarn for a project. It’s affordable yarn and apparently it’s popularity is increasing. It’s like each of the 5 stores carries a specific yarn that the other 4 doesn’t. So hopefully this weekend, I’m going to visit each and jot down pricing for what they have. That way, I’ll have a reference guide, so I can just pull it up and see which store has the yarn I’m wanting and how much it costs. I’m hoping to work on some knitting and crochet tonight, but I’m just not sure I’ll have time. This week has been a busy one. I can’t wait to get back to it.

I like crocheting with the Homespun. By crocheting, I’m learning that you have to do it loosely for the yarn to work. So, if I can learn to knit looser than I have been, I may be able to use Homespun for some things. I found this great sweater jacket that I’d love to make. There is a crochet version and a knit version. I’ll try the knit first and if I still haven’t mastered looser knitting, I’ll just crochet it. I would prefer to knit…you don’t get the holes that come with crochet. But with the Homespun, I’ve noticed that the holes are much smaller. And that Homespun works up pretty quick. So maybe in the near future I can try to make the jacket.
